The Name of the Hair

Bless the Japanese creativity! Following “hair styles” have funny, easy to remember names.

1. プリン頭 (Purin atama, “pudding head”)

An accurate description of the dyed hair’s condition when the black roots are growing back.

2. バーコードヘアー (“Bar code hair”)

The art of combing the few hair you have to the other side of your balding head.

3. 完熟トマト (Kanjuku tomato “Ripe Tomato”)

An artistic hair style created by stylist Hiro of Trick Store in Amemura, Osaka. (Be aware: despite all the news about it, this is NOT a Japanese trend. Neither is the bagel head or eye-ball licking, for your information.)
